Descendant table

In  1792 Rabbi Menachem Mendel died in Rawitsch, Posen Prov. (today Rawicz, Poland)

Because of the straight wit of his argumentation and decisions he was named
"Gradenwitz" ("with the straight wit"). This given name became the last name
of his descendants.

Our name "Gradenwitz", our family, exists only 10 generations back, and
everyone bearing this name (or having it in the mishpoche :-)) is directly linked to
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gradenwitz.

Today members of the family live in Israel, in many European countries
and in South- and Northamerica.
A full line in the US changed their name generations back to "Gradon". This line too
links directly to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gradenwitz.

Working the genealogy of my family is really fun. By now, I seem to have a relativly complete table of all the descendants of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gradenwitz. When the name changes due to mariage, I always cut that line after the nextborn generation - it would become unmanageable otherways. Still, there is a lot I don't know, and there are some Gradenwitz I can't place in my table.

I am really happy about contacts who want to know more about our family or who may be able to tell me more! Please mail me.
